Encore Starz is Plymouth Yarn's soft, but durable 74% acrylic, 25% wool blend that is machine washable and dryable, with a 1% polyester thread added for a sparkle. This yarn is hypoallergenic. Originally, this Encore line of yarns was designed for babies and children.
Although the yarn label gauges this yarn at 5 sts. per inch on a US 8 (5mm), this yarn is sturdy and lofty enough to knit at a looser gauge such as 4.5 sts per inch. These 100 gram balls contain 200 yards.
