Emma's Yarn

Emma's Yarn is a family-run hand-dye studio out of Florida, sold exclusively through local yarn shops rather than direct online — which is part of why you'll find some colorways here you won't find everywhere else, including a custom "Belfast" colorway dyed just for us. Our selection spans laceweight to bulky, anchored by their popular merino-nylon Practically Perfect sock base.

Emma's Yarn hand-dyes each colorway in small batches, which means variation between dye lots is part of the character rather than a flaw — a hallmark of hand-dyed yarn generally. The brand sells only through local yarn shops rather than direct-to-consumer, so shopping here supports that same small-shop model on both ends.

Our selection includes their well-known Practically Perfect Sock base, a superwash merino-nylon blend built for durability, alongside sport and DK weight superwash merino, a mohair-silk lace yarn for halo and drape, and novelty textured bases for extra visual interest. Because these are hand-dyed, colors can vary slightly between skeins of the same colorway — buying enough yarn for a project in one order, and alternating skeins as you knit if a project uses more than one, helps even out any variation.
