Knitting for Olive is a Copenhagen family business that began designing patterns before launching their own yarn in 2016, starting with Merino. Each of their yarns is built around a single fiber — merino, silk, mohair, cashmere, or cotton — with traceable sourcing, so you know exactly what farm each one came from.

Rather than blending fibers into a single yarn, Knitting for Olive keeps each line focused on one material, which lets you choose exactly the fiber you want and then combine yarns yourself if you're after a particular effect. Their range in this collection includes Merino and Heavy Merino in fingering and worsted weights, Pure Silk and Cotton Merino in fingering, Soft Silk Mohair for laceweight halo, and Compatible Cashmere for a delicate lace-weight luxury option.
