Knit Alongs

Knit Alongs (also called KALs) are the modern version of a knitting circle. Held in-store or even virtually, knitters come together to make the same pattern at the same time. The result is so much more than a finished project! You learn new skills, make connections, and find inspiration seeing yarn textures and color combinations through the eyes of others.

The details:

Recently, we started carrying Slubby Slub from Emma's Yarn and were inspired to make the Slublime Tee as our first Knit Along!  Slublime is a cute little summery tee that only uses 2-3 skeins of Slubby Slub with size US7 needles.  The pattern is available on Ravelry, you can purchase it on your own or through the shop.

Our KAL will begin on Thursday, June 12 at 2pm in person at the shop, with Jackie and Sara facilitating. If you participate, you will receive a 10% discount on the yarn (use the discount code sublime10 if you're ordering online).  You could use any fingering weight yarn, but the pattern was specifically designed with the texture of Slubby Slub in mind, so that's what we recommend!  We'll meet in person on Thursday afternoons for a few weeks and keep each other company as we blast through this cute little summer project!
