The Sumner Shawlette is named for Sumner, a town in western Maine that is home to A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm.
A Wrinkle in Thyme’s sheep are bred for their soft fiber. The animals are raised in a sustainable fashion, and the fiber spun at a local Maine mill. It is a delightful farm yarn.
Squishy garter stitch and small flock yarn come together beautifully in this project. A easy to memorize pattern with different textures make for a relaxing knit, and a beautiful finished project. This pattern was designed for our Fiber of Maine subscription for February 2017.
