Sea Isle Cotton by Plymouth Yarn (worsted)

Plymouth Sea Isle is a worsted-weight blend of organic Pima cotton and fine merino wool. Its cabled construction creates a lofty yarn with generous yardage, combining cotton’s breathability with the warmth and elasticity of wool.

The finished fabric is soft and comfortable with good drape, making Sea Isle suitable for garments worn across several seasons. In our experience, the yarn is easy to work with and does not split readily.

We used four skeins of color 8, Oyster, to knit a women’s medium Brick pullover, a free top-down sweater pattern available on Ravelry. The label recommends 18 stitches per four inches on a US 7 needle. For our sweater, we preferred the fabric at a slightly tighter gauge of 20 stitches per four inches, using a US 6 needle.
