Malabrigo Mohair (lace)

Malabrigo Mohair is a hand-dyed lace-weight yarn combining the airy halo of mohair with the smoothness and subtle sheen of silk. It creates lightweight fabric with warmth, drape and rich depth of color.

Use it by itself for delicate lace, shawls and scarves, or hold it together with another yarn to add softness, warmth and a fuzzy halo. Pairing it with a contrasting or variegated yarn can also produce interesting marled color effects.

Malabrigo Mohair is well suited to lace shawls, scarves and lightweight garments. It can also be held double for airy accessories or combined with wool, cotton or another base yarn to add warmth, texture and color without adding much weight.

A note about hand-dyed yarn: Malabrigo yarn is dyed in small batches, so colors may vary between skeins and dye lots. Purchase enough yarn for your entire project at one time. When using multiple skeins of the same color, alternate between them every few rows to distribute the variations more evenly.
