All of our designs are named after Maine lakes or regions. Lake Saint George is a pristine body of water in Liberty, Maine, and is the inspiration for our August 2017 subscription offering.
We designed this as an introductory lace pattern, interspersing a simple four stitch repeat with rows of garter stitch. Not only do the garter rows provide structure and visual interest, but they also offer an easy place to rip back to, should the need arise.
- Materials needed: 550-600 yards of heavy lace or fingering weight yarn like Quince & Co. Piper or Emma's Yarn Super Silky
- US 6 (4.0mm) knitting needles
