Brioche stitch is a fun way to add color and texture to your knitting project. It's very warm and springy, and satisfying to knit.
Once you’re comfortable knitting basic brioche in a single color, two-color brioche is a natural next step. It creates the same deeply ribbed texture, but each side features knit columns in a different color, producing a reversible fabric with the colors inverted from one side to the other.
In this class you will learn the basics of the stitch, how to read your fabric and fix mistakes. This is a technique class that will start you on the path to making a scarf.
- Instructor: Erica Schlueter, local knitwear designer.
- Skills required: Must be able to confidently knit and purl
- Materials: size 8 or 9 knitting needles, and two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn to learn the technique.
- Minimum of 3 students, Maximum of 6
