Collection: Baa Ram Ewe

Baa Ram Ewe is a Yorkshire-based wool brand built around British sheep breeds, working with UK farmers, spinners, and dyers to spotlight what makes each breed's fleece distinct. Our small selection includes a crisp 4-ply colorwork yarn and a traditional guernsey wool, both spun in Yorkshire.

Baa Ram Ewe focuses on breed-specific British wool, sourced through UK wool auctions that support British sheep farmers, then spun and dyed in Yorkshire. Rather than blending fibers together, much of their range highlights what a particular breed's wool does on its own — different breeds produce noticeably different textures, from soft and springy to firm and hardwearing.

Pip Colourwork is a 4-ply (fingering weight) yarn with a smooth, low-halo finish that makes stitch definition especially crisp — a good fit for stranded colorwork and Fair Isle patterns where you want each color to read clearly. Skipper 5-Ply Guernsey is a traditional guernsey (gansey) wool: tightly spun for durability, in the style historically used for fishermen's sweaters, which need to hold up to wind, water, and years of wear.
