This yarn is named after a small trading post in Northern Maine where the sign reads “Population: not many.” and the saying goes “Where the pavement ends and the moose outnumber people.”
Kokadjo yarn is a beautiful blend of 90% superwash treated wool and 10% silk. This is 4-ply fingering weight yarn. This is a great yarn for socks with the silk adding extra durability. The silk also adds a subtle sheen and luster to this yarn. Kokadjo has nice stitch definition and is excellent for lace work, scarfs or shawls. This yarn is very versatile and fun to work with! It’s also machine washable.

The color in the photo is lovely but nothing like the actual yarn, which is a much truer blue than the grey blue- tealish color in the photo. I was prepared for that but it might come as a surprise if you don’t see the yarn before buying. Handles beautifully and looks great in my simple project.
