Susan Sheehan of Island Girl Yarn has been a knitter and crocheter since childhood. When the pandemic hit, she took her love for color and began to dye yarn. Many of her colorways are inspired by the nature she sees on Westport Island during her morning walks.

I recently purchased several skeins of this yearn while visiting family in Belfast, Maine . I love the colors and have thoroughly enjoyed knitting with them. So far I have done mittens and am working on a hat . They knit up well with even stitches and it is very soft and comfortable to wear . Will be purchasing more!

This colorway caught my eye right away. It's a lovely balance of roses, greens and light browns. It's superwash wool so whatever I make with it will be easy to care for. The yarn is fairly tightly twisted for great stitch definition. The customer service at Fiber of Maine is outstanding. I needed a second skein and was sent one that matched beautifully. Will certainly shop there again.
