Cormo is a lustrous, long-staple, soft, springy wool that can be worn against your skin and feel wonderful. And, when spun with the right amount of twist, it can even be resistant to creating annoying pills.
Elemental Affect's Cormo is raised primarily in the West on multi-generational family ranches. Working with Mountain Meadows Wool Mill in Wyoming, some of the yarn is processed and spun within 30 miles of where it is raised! It is then hand dyed by Jeane DeCoster of Elemental Affects.
Cormo yarn can be extremely resilient and this Cormo is no exception. To achieve a consistent yardage measurement, the skeins were measured stretched. To substitute this Cormo in a pattern using a less resilient yarn, try at least 20% more yardage.
Each skein weighs 4 oz (113g) and contains 400 yards, and knits nicely at 6 sts. per inch but can be pushed to a dk gauge.
Hand wash, lay flat to dry.
