This yarn comes to us from Aroostook Fiberworks in Aroostook County.
Coopworth fleece has three qualities that many spinners, knitters and crocheters love: a long fiber length (which tends to produce a knitted fabric less prone to pilling), a defined crimp (the more crimped or wavy fibers, the more elastic the yarn) and a noticeable luster.
The white is a warm, almost buttery, white.
The silver warm skeins range are approximately 200 yards.
The 100% dark brown skeins are 3.6-3.8 ounces. They are approximately 200 yards and have a silvery heather quality to it. These skeins have a tighter spin - but definitely not overspun. This should make for a hard wearing springy sweater that is also soft.
The dark brown skeins of 50% Coopworth and 50% alpaca, are super soft! These 3 oz skeins are approximately 200 yards. The smaller weight skeins may be a few yards less.
