These high-fire ceramic buttons are handmade by a knitter for knitters.
They are made with smooth white stoneware, and either pressed with a custom made stamp or imprinted with coreopsis leaves. After the first firing, the fronts are brushed with a glossy glaze which highlights the texture. The backs are left unglazed.
The large buttons are approximately 7/8" in diameter, the medium stripes & dots are approximately 3/4", and the small ones are approximately 5/8".
Each button is unique, durable and strong. For best results, wash by hand or with garment turned inside out on gentle.
