These shawl pins are designed and handmade by Bonnie Bishoff and her husband, J.M. Syron of Brunswick, Maine.
These pins feature polymer clay inlays using classic millefiori technique, patterned after semiprecious mosaics. The metal bezel is cast in lead-free pewter from Bonnie’s original designs. The specially designed hook/pin shank is made in nickel silver and polished to have a smooth ballpoint end to slip between stitches with ease. The hook end slips down into loops in the back of the pin so you don’t lose your beautiful closure.
The circle pins are approximately 1 3/4" in diameter. The carved ring is oval and is approximately 2 3/8" by 2 3/4". The pine cone is 2 1/8" in length and 1 5/8" at its widest. The blueberry pin is approximately 3" in length.
We love the unique design of the hook, which creates a very secure shawl pin. The finer your knitted fabric, the more it can hold. They are beautiful and functional. Bonnie also makes a stick pin style.
Beautiful artwork. So well made This was a gift to a special niece who loves it.
